Anselm Kiefer. This is one of my favourite artists. I find his work breath-taking mainly to do with the sheer size and the majestic qualities about them such as the amount of materials used, the depth of emotion in his work and the perspective of the work as though it looms over you or stretches out before you. The work fits in with the theme of looking at the natural world and primal art - the materials used are all natural items such as sand, straw, plants etc. The work is also nostalgic in the sens of atmosphere which I believe would work wonderfully in a cave setting.
