Virtual Exhibition: Ideas and Themes

I am creating a Virtual Exhibition - designing an exhibition of any kind, displaying work of any artists, within any location and full of creative ideas. The Virtual Exhibition will need to include advertisements like in an actual show such as posters and a press release and it will require a Health and safety check on any hazards that would occur if the exhibition were to take place. I have decided to use a blog to document my ideas and also to create a 3D "mini model" of the exhibition.

For my work I decided that I wanted to create my exhibition in a natural environment - I want to create my ideal exhibition within a cave. I had this idea because with my individual practice I am looking at primal art and patterns in nature and the interest in these subjects inspired me to design an exhibition that would be shown in the natural world - away from the more conventional ideas of showing art in galleries. The oldest forms of art were created using natural elements and the first "galleries" were caves when prehistoric man created Cave Paintings.  I want to recapture this idea of art being a part of the natural world and I want to opitimise the cave as being an adventure within where the audience has to go inside this show and look around to view the art treasures.

When designing my work I plan to draw out a few sketches to work out the dimensions and the view of the cave itself, looking at different ways I could create a virtual exhibition display of art. To begin with I thought maybe images would do to represent the exhibition but I really liked the idea of creating a 3D piece to express my ideas - I will use a  box to display my work in and photograph images of the exhibition in a portfolio to show close-up imagery.
The cave will be represented with a series of collage to display the cave walls and floor. I will use both photographs I have taken of rock formation and also imagery from the internet of other caves. The artists I plan to use will be some of the artists I have looked at in my individual practice work.
The main theme of the work will be about natural beauty and artwork relating to natural elements and techniques - also looking at primitive works and how simple, basic forms and patterns are related to the natural world.
